Nice to meet ya - I’m Dan, a London-based cook and food enthusiast. For the last few years, I’ve cooked and written about Thai food on my Instagram at @culturecanteen. I also run Thai pop-ups and supper clubs in London. I started this Substack as a means to explore and start conversations around food culture and all the interesting things that shape it.

As a subscriber, you can expect weekly post updates. I write mostly about specific dishes, detailing recipes that have worked for me. Occasionally, I’ll share musings on broader topics like modern food production, food choices, agricultural politics, and the relationship between food and health.
